Azienda Agricola Inama is a family winery that has been making wines for about 50 years in the Venetto region, between the cities of Verona and Venice. In an area of hills and volcanic soils, the Inama project produces some of the world’s great Soave Classico wines.
Soave Classico DOC
In the 1960s, Giuseppe Inama, founder of the estate, began acquiring small vineyard plots in the heart of Soave Classico. Although Soave was the most recognized white wine in the world, few winegrowers and winemakers believed in the importance of having good plots of land to produce high quality wines.
Terroir and biodiversity
Soave Classico is the hilly area where vineyards were planted in Roman times. Its volcanic soil, of pure basaltic lava, is the only one in northern Italy with these particular characteristics. But the terroir of each plot does not remain in the soil and climate, but goes all the way to the environment. “If there is no terroir, the wine has a varietal taste”.
