Soil knowledge

Different subsoil rocks explain different periods of history. For a decade, Rose & Arrow were studying the fundamental difference of Willamette Valley Pinot Noir: strands of ancient volcanic rock mark the exceptionality of this variety. Thanks to the work carried out with Pedro Parra, the recognition of the soils of the estate allows a winemaking process adapted to the specific characteristics of each plot.

The expression of the vineyard

Felipe Ramirez’s oenology has led the winery to opt for spontaneous fermentation aided by an initial micro-oxygenation. This encourages each yeast in each area to convert the must into wine, giving a particularity of its own to each elaboration.
